Our nursery staff are part of a dedicated team of professionals. Each of them passionate about teaching and caring for children in a safe setting. By combining our knowledge and individual talents together, we are able to give children the tools they need to develop important life skills.
We use the key worker approach to help support children in their learning. This enables us to listen to the children and encourage their ideas.
It is important to us that the children feel confident, and their individual needs are met. For this reason, we maintain the ratio of adults to children as set by the Safeguarding and Welfare Requirements.
Many of our nursery staff have been with us for years. Simply because they love working here, and the children absolutely adore them. All of our staff are qualified to Level 3 in childcare or above, as well as “Paediatric first and safeguarding” and all of them come with a heart of gold. Our staff training continues throughout the year.
The majority of children attending our nursery use English as a second language. To bridge the gap and help with integration, we are proud to have a multicultural staff.
The children benefit from receiving first-hand knowledge of different cultures, and we are able to communicate with children of different ethnicities. Additional languages spoken by staff include Urdu, Punjabi, Hindi and Tamil.
Our end goal is to help each child to reach their full potential, in preparation for their eventual transition to Primary school.
